This Campaign 3 insert is designed to be compatible with Terra Mystica®, and the Fire and Ice® expansion. The design provides both efficient storage and improved game play. The trays can be utilised during the game, and they greatly aid set-up and clear-away times. The insert is arranged in three layers. There is one for each of the nine factions, and they have a divider to separate the larger buildings from the smaller pieces.The favor tiles are arranged with a separate slot for each of the four cults to aid game play. The terrain tiles are stored vertically and at an angle so they can be quickly sorted through to find the needed type. The boards and rules go on top of the trays acting as a lid, allowing the game to be stored vertically. First goes the game rules. This is followed by the main game board, and the faction boards and the cult board. Lastly go the turn order board and the cloth bag. The insert is designed to hold 4 faction boards and the cult board. Adding a fifth faction board will cause the box lid to lift by 2 mm. This allows the game to be packed ready for a game away from home, and carried safely and organised. The remaining faction boards and the game board variant, together with the rules in languages not needed, should be stored in the Fire and Ice box. There are then two separate trays for the faction pieces. There are trays for the two faction mechs and leader miniatures, and then two large trays for the airships. The airship trays store the miniatures snugly head-to-toe in a neat order. The last airship slot is used for the ships’ bases. At the end of each of the trays are slots for vertical storage of the infrastructure and mech mods. the main rulebook goes on top with the binder ring as shown. Then go the reference sheet, followed by the score-sheet and other campaign tiles. This is followed by the Wind Gambit rules and the player boards. Lastly go the combat dials. The design provides both efficient storage and improved game play. Many of the trays can be utilised during the game, and they greatly aid set-up and clear-away times.
The insert is arranged in three layers, and uses the large square battle map tiles to separate each level. In each of the two lower layers there is a stack of journey map tiles. The largest and smallest tiles go on the bottom layer (shown here on the right) and the medium sized tiles go on the middle layer (as shown on the left). This is easy enough to do as they larger tiles all have a width of four or more hexes, and the medium ones a width of three or less. For the avoidance of doubt there is a list further down the page with the numbers of each tile indicating which goes where. The hero card tray has space for the cards to be sleeved with quality sleeves. The two trays for the game cards have slots sized to match the quantity of each of the 12 types of card, including splitting the item cards into carried items, armour, and trinkets.
